I.S. 109 Welcomes Air Conditioners in the Auditorium
Jean Nuzzi Intermediate School 109 has something new to celebrate: air conditioners in the auditorium! This welcome addition will help make the space more comfortable for students, staff, and families, especially during the warmer months.
The auditorium is a place where a school community comes together—where students can share their talents, celebrate accomplishments, learn from one another, and create lasting memories. Adding air conditioning helps make those experiences more enjoyable for everyone, from the students onstage to the families cheering them on.
For students attending an assembly or participating in a presentation, a cooler space can make it easier to concentrate and stay engaged. For staff organizing events and families visiting the school, it offers a more comfortable setting to connect and celebrate our students’ achievements.
This improvement is a reminder that supporting students includes caring for the spaces they use every day. A welcoming school environment extends beyond the classroom to the shared spaces where students build confidence, express themselves, and feel part of a community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this addition possible. We appreciate the time, effort, and support that go into improving our school for our students and families.
We look forward to filling our newly cooled auditorium with applause, student voices, and school pride!
Our time is now: We shine together!
